Sermon 1: I Am the Bread of Life

Scripture: John 6:35, 48–51 (john 6 is a very long chapter.)

Big Idea: Jesus satisfies our deepest spiritual hunger forever.

Outline:

  1. Context of the feeding of the 5,000
  2. Meaning of “bread of life” in biblical anticipation
  3. Personal application: daily dependence on Christ

Illustrations: Share a story of physical hunger turned spiritual craving.


Sermon 2: I Am the Light of the World

Scripture: John 8:12; 9:5

Big Idea: Jesus exposes darkness, guiding us into truth and healing.

Outline:

  1. Jewish Feast of Tabernacles and temple lamps
  2. Jesus’ clash with Pharisees over spiritual sight
  3. Living as light-bearers in our community

Sermon 3: I Am the Door for the Sheep

Scripture: John 10:7–9

Big Idea: Jesus is our exclusive gateway to security, provision, and belonging.

  3. Inviting neighbours into the fold

Sermon 4: I Am the Good Shepherd

Scripture: John 10:11–15

Big Idea: Jesus lays down his life for each of his sheep, calling us by name.

Sermon 6: I Am the Way, the Truth, and the Life

Scripture: John 14:6

Big Idea: Jesus is the singular path to God, the absolute standard of truth, and the fountain of life.

  3. Navigating life decisions under Christ’s lordship

Sermon 7: I Am the True Vine

Scripture: John 15:1–5

Big Idea: Abiding in Jesus produces fruitful, Spirit-powered living.
